Got the new console yesterday and played Gears of War 2 for about 10 hours. The room temperature is about 90F. The console is warm but not hot. Could not hear the fan noise at all unless I turn off the speakers.
Very sexy looking. Strongly recommended. BTW, I also have a PS3 (not the slim version). I think it the xbox slim is as good as the PS3.
